Building Resilience, Care, and Community

Pastoral Care and
Wellbeing Framework

Our Pastoral Care & Wellbeing Framework at St Edward’s ensures every student is known, supported, and valued.

The Framework
Grounded in our Edmund Rice tradition, this framework prioritises strong relationships, student voice, and a safe, inclusive environment.
Here, well-being is everyone’s business, where compassion, respect and resilience are lived, not just taught.

The college framework for Pastoral Care and Well-being is anchored in key principles that prioritise student leadership, voice, and relationships.

It underscores the importance of cultivating a values-driven environment where respect, empathy, and integrity are at the core of all interactions. The framework emphasises the critical role of amplifying student voice, fostering active participation, and encouraging feedback to shape programs and initiatives effectively. Strong relationships between students, staff, and the broader community are seen as vital to creating a safe and nurturing environment. Furthermore, the framework advocates for partnerships with external organisations, including VET and careers services, to ensure comprehensive support and pathways for student success.
