The Centre is equipped with industry-standard workshops and climate-controlled lecture spaces. Students can undertake career pathway training in Construction (Carpentry), Hospitality (Cookery), and Metals & Engineering (Metal Trade & Fabrication).
Students typically follow a schedule of three to four days at school and one day with their employer, complemented by paid block work placements during school holidays.
This flexible model allows young men to earn while they learn—gaining industry-recognised credentials, building practical skills, and developing clarity about their future direction.
This program acknowledges that success takes many shapes. Not all students will follow a purely academic route — trade skills are equally valid, valuable, and respected at St Edward’s. Through our Centre, we celebrate those who build, craft, cook, engineer — each pathway is a testament to purpose and pride.
